Promoting the use of ICT by Health Professional Students

MESAU ICT Grand Innovation Challenge 2013
MESAU-MEPI a Consortium composed of Makerere University College of Health Sciences, Gulu University, Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Kampala International University, Busitema University and Johns Hopkins University will award 10 mentored Information and Communication Technology (ICT) innovation projects to students within the MESAU-MEPI Consortium from January 2013. The ICT innovation projects will be based on the following criteria:

Scientific writing workshop

A MESAU intensive scientific workshop is scheduled for 27, 28 February and 1 March, 2013. This is intended to support those who already have data collected and analyzed and therefore ready to start writing a manuscript. It will have facilitators from MESAU institutions in Uganda and USA.


Education Resources

Enrolment into PhD studies at MakCHS has expanded significantly over the years. Makerere University College of Health Sciences (MakCHS) launched the 2nd Edition of the Guidebook for Doctoral Training on 18th December 2012 in the presence of over sixty participants (PhD fellows and their supervisors, members of the MakCHS Graduate Studies and Research Committee and other members of staff). Prof. Charles Ibingira, the Dean School of Biomedical Sciences presided over the launch ceremony on behalf of the Principal, MakCHS.
