One of MESAU’s core values is the notion of mutual learning through sharing information and knowledge emerging from the consortium activities and elsewhere. MESAU is a great illustration of how a thriving consortium can make significant contributions towards addressing critical issues affecting a country’s health system. We are committed to accelerating improvements in the quality of health professional education, increasing the number of health workers in the country and in forging very strong collaboration between the national health and education systems in solving Uganda’s health system challenges. To better serve the broad range of our stake holders (health professional trainees, academic and administrative staff, policy makers, planners, implementers, Uganda’s population and development partners) we are proud to introduce the MESAU portal. Through this centralized collaborative space you will access and share on-line resources, innovations and learnings from the excellent work done by MESAU partner institutions, and other like-minded initiatives, institutions and organizations in Africa and beyond. We shall also share some of the challenges and emerging solutions. You can contribute to make a difference in the lives of millions of Ugandans, young and old, by contributing your time and resources to the efforts of MESAU. I wish you all a bountiful harvest in 2013. Together we shall succeed and together we shall overcome.
